The Villa Eugénie is a small hotel not far from the Sacré-Coeur district on one side, and just a few streets from the Rue de Levis with its hustle and bustle and market. It is a hotel whose retro decor is strongly influenced by the Second Empire.

    Location 5.02 /10

Despite being in a rather residential area of Paris, this hotel nevertheless boasts a rather convenient location. Business travellers are close to the Palais des Congrès and numerous companies, whilst tourists will enjoy easy access to the Champs Elysées, the Grands Magasins and even Montmartre. The neighbourhood is also home to some good restaurants and hosts a weekly organic market. The metro station is not that close but there are several bus and train stations in the vicinity.

    Accommodation 6.95 /10

The guest rooms at the hotel come in 4 categories: Single, Standard Double, Superior Double and Family, the difference lying in the size of the room, apart from which they are all identical, decorated in the same style and in the same colours. The red wallpaper with rural motifs matches the carpets perfectly, though there is a touch of originality in the decor in that the yellow bedspreads and cushions are a welcome distraction from the otherwise perfectly harmonious colour scheme, and whilst the style may be a little too busy for some tastes, the surroundings are nevertheless elegant. The bathrooms are more modern and low-key, their white tiles intersected by a pink border, and feature rather odd-shaped lamps with glass shades. All of the bathrooms come with a bathtub and bathrobes are also provided in the Superior rooms. Other amenities include a safe, a stocked mini-bar, free Wi-Fi in all rooms and a flat-screen television broadcasting a variety of foreign channels. Family rooms are created by combining two Standard and Superior double rooms at the end of the corridors.

    Overview 6.45 /10

The Villa Eugénie isn't just like any other hotel, you come here for its particular style and ambience. Lovers of trendy design might not be overwhelmed with this establishment, but those looking for a place with a little more history will be delighted. The Napoleon III-style decor throughout the hotel gives the impression of being grounded in the 19th Century, a feeling only enhanced by the very retro, perhaps even a little kitsch, ambience of the place. This is a rather small hotel with only 41 guest rooms, as well as a basement-level conference room with exposed stonework. There is even a large tearoom on the ground floor that fits in so well with the Imperial-retro feel of the hotel that you could be forgiven for thinking you were in an old English Bed and Breakfast tearoom. The floors are carpeted in a rather indiscreet green and red and the walls are decked with soft red fabrics, whilst the furniture consists of a great many sofas, armchairs and chaises longues in competing shades of red and beige. Seasoned travellers who are used to more modern surroundings will undoubtedly find this place a little outdated, but this only adds to its warm, cosy ambience. Breakfast is also served in this setting and consists of a continental buffet, cold meats and fruit salad. If you get peckish in the evening, no need to worry. The hotel can have meals, chosen from a very comprehensive and high-quality menu, including a wide variety of cold dishes, meat and fish carpaccios, beef tartare, etc. and wine, delivered to you.

    To know

The Villa Eugénie is a member of the "Les Hôtels de Paris" Group, which have the defining feature of all being decorated entirely differently - great news, as it avoids the trap of boringly standardised rooms. The Villa Eugénie is one of the Group's 4-star hotels, and the decor here will make you feel you've gone back in time.

The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.

In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
