The Opéra Marigny is a lovely little hotel, ideal for a short city break and decorated in a pretty contemporary style which compensates for the few amenities.

Is there anything quite as nice as sleeping in the centre of Paris, between 'la Madeleine' district and the Grands Magasins (large department stores)? The Opéra Marigny is an excellent starting point for those Parisian days spent exploring the district, shopping in the department stores and visiting the Opéra de Paris. The Louvre is nearby if you feel like you're in need of some culture. The street is peaceful enough, filled with some nice restaurants. Very conveniently located for public transport, you will get a choice of underground train and bus lines in the surroundings.

    Accommodation 8.50 /10

Out of the 24 guestrooms, 17 are classed as 'classic', 5 as 'superior' and 2 are suites. They are all equipped with a safe, a flat screen television, a minibar and a bathroom fitted either with a shower or a bathtub, a hairdryer, a towel warmer and a magnifying mirror. 'Classic' guestrooms have a surface area of 14m˛ and a lovely Roman shower; 'superior' rooms are a touch larger and have a bathtub; as for the suites, one has a lounge and a terrace and the other is a duplex equipped with a whirlpool bath. The style is contemporary, with colours such as plum, pink, grey and brown combined with materials such as leather, gloss and metal. Room service is available from 5:00pm to 1:30am, offering a wide range of food and drinks.

    Overview 6.85 /10

This is therefore a modern hotel dedicated to city breaks, particularly popular with honeymooners. This hotel has limited space: the reception isn't very big and the breakfast room, which does get a lot of daylight, is also small, but nevertheless very pleasant. This room is also decorated with the recurring theme of this hotel: large black and white portraits of Asian ladies. High tables and flashy armchairs make it altogether very cosy. The story goes that Marcel Proust stayed at this hotel and this is why madeleines are now served at the buffet, in reference to the famous "Madeleine Episode" in his book In Search of Lost Time. Unlimited WiFi internet access is available, as well as a free internet station and a meeting room with a capacity of 8 guests, which is often used for interviewing celebrities. Even though the hotel has no real bar, guests are welcome to have a drink in the lobby.

    To know

The latest renovation took place in 2009. The hotel management chose to close down for a few months until everything was completed: sound-proofing, the extension of the guestrooms and bathrooms, etc.

Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.
